Duncan House is one of English Brothers’ Eco Homes projects – it combines a timber frame structure with Hemcrete insulation to achieve outstanding thermal performance and breathability. Recognised as a Grand Designs Eco finalist, this home shows how natural materials can deliver both comfort and efficiency.

This standout build was created in close collaboration with the homeowner to deliver a project rooted in environmental performance and natural design.

Key features include spacious volumes, exposed timber elements, and naturally finished surfaces that help regulate humidity and maintain a healthy indoor environment. The Hemcrete walls pair well with the timber frame – combining strength with breathable, low-carbon insulation that’s built to last.
